Lucky as I am, I had the chance to draw everything for, wait a minute, Plai Festival. Ta-dam! If you are from Timișoara, you already know that Plai Festival is an awesome small festival, held yearly at the Banat Village Museum. If you’re not from around here, just come and experience any September edition and just see for yourself. Don’t forget to buy tickets in advance because ppl are working hard on promo packs beginning February. Also, if you are not from around here, you have to know that Plai has nothing to do with the English word play, it means wondrous land or something similar to that.
Now back to the festival’s image, I have to say that I’ve illustrated with the right hand and did a bit of art direction with the left one because I’ve worked with, wait a minute, Vazelina! She added cool and twisted speech bubbles filled with a special, fancy font. She also did the layouts on all the stuff. This being said, our four hands worked on a poster, lots of social media headers, street banners, t-shirts for volunteers and other nice ppl, lanyards and badges, lots of stuff, incuding a colouring page to calm ppl in case they were wondering “when does it start already!?”
#plaiepersonal (#plaiispersonal) in 2016 and so is it’s image. It’s so personal that I have even taken the liberty to invite Eugene of Savoy on a branch, and I also did what CANNOT BE DONE, advertise one of my children’s books. Mwhaha! I added everything for everybody because it’s better to have diversity, I always say!
It was really cool, we had a lot of fun, until we got to unacceptable things! I didn’t manage to get my L t-shirt (you know, L is from Livia) and I was left with an M. Now until next year I have to change my name to Mariana because otherwise I won’t be able to wear it. Hahaha.
